This is the first of a 2-panel piece reimagining Michelangelo’s The Creation of Adam. In this reinterpretation, Adam is freed from shame and centred in identity, desire, and self acceptance. Rather than viewing original sin as something to be punished, this piece reframes it as something inherent and deeply human. It reflects on queer identity, connection, and the idea that divinity exists within all forms of love and expression. If God is everything, then that includes the full spectrum of who we are. At its core, this work is about unity and about all of us being connected through love, authenticity, and joy.
